Outcomes and Social Influences

More Than A Fraction is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to and sometimes lead the works and projects that move towards a better understanding of the history of marginalized communities. This includes identifying the first steps towards understanding the ongoing traumas and social reactions to historical events like enslaved communities, African-American terrorization, and the abuse of Indigenous and other marginalized communities. Below we've listed some notable outcomes and social influences derived from some of our work and efforts towards our mission of moving from separation to reunification.

Feel free to explore these outcomes and click on the appropriate links for more information.

Webinar:

The White Man's Religion? What Enslaved Africans Really Thought About Christianity

Presented by the More Than A Fraction Foundation, this webinar will present what enslaved Africans really thought about Christianity - directly from their point of view. We will pull from first person narratives and accounts of formerly enslaved peoples and freeman from the 19th century (1800s) regarding their reflections when asked about Christianity. We will also explore how the phrase "The White Man's Religion" may have been lost in translation over time.
